HERVE RANNU

Herve Rannu is a landscape and nightscape photographer based in Tallinn, Estonia. 

MEET HERVE

Herve started his photographic journey back in 2017. His started out with some SIGMA lenses and over the years, they have never let him down. 

Starting out, Herve used to wander around in the middle of cityscapes during night time and capture different scenes with long exposures. 

"- I loved it because it was challenging. I’m a person who wants to be in constant progress in what I do and this made me learn more and more about photography. Wanting to know different things how stuff just works", Herve tells us.

After a couple of years he found himself more in nature and realised that this was what he wanted to do. Capture the amazing beauty and experience fantastic moments in our wonderful nature.

"- To this day landscapes and nightscapes are my favourite genres in nature photography. The true and pure beauty they have is just so enjoyable to capture. The night sky has always been so mystical and beautiful to me and makes me wander every time I’m under the stars. Together with hiking and camping I also really love to explore new places in the wilderness where I can capture and experience amazing moments. But I don’t like to limit myself", Herve continues. He loves to travel as well, being able to see different landscapes in different places and capturing the beauty of it. 

Since also working within the printing industry specializing in digital printing, Herve gets the chance to combine his two passions - photography and printing - being able to actually print his own photographs. He also gives lectures about digital printing and nature photography in a local college in Estonia. 

"- Overall, I don’t hesitate to take new challenges or adventures when it comes to nature photography. I feel that this is where my heart is and this is what makes me happy", Herve says.
