Sigma Artist Talk with Stephen Gill at Fotografiska Stockholm

Sigma invites you to an afternoon with photographer Stephen Gill, known for his poetic, experimental approach to documentary photography and his ability to find the extraordinary in everyday life. The conversation will be moderated by designer and curator Greger Ulf Nilson.

Stephen Gill’s work begins with curiosity and a walk. He looks at familiar places as if they’re new, collecting details most of us pass by and turning them into photographs that feel both intimate and unsettling in the best way. Through small interventions, unexpected materials, and a sharp sense of observation, he captures moments that expand reality rather than simply record it. Images that remind us that the world is always stranger, richer, and more alive than we think, if we slow down long enough to actually see it.
